Multi-Purpose Range & The Everett Spear Combat Range

MULTI-PURPOSE RANGE RULES (Posted)

The following rules apply to the Multi-Purpose Range and are in addition to the General Range Rules.

  1. WHENEVER A CEASE FIRE IS CALLED, ALL SHOOTING MUST “IMMEDIATELY STOP”. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE OF THE CEASE FIRE CALL. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE EMPTY AND MADE SAFE, (ACTIONS OPEN, MAGAZINES REMOVED, ETC) FOR THE DURATION OF THE CEASE FIRE. ENGAGE THE WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO GOING DOWN RANGE. TURN THE WARNING LIGHTS OFF WHEN THE RANGE IS SAFE FOR SHOOTING TO RESUME. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE THE RANGE IS READY FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE.

  2. THE RANGE IS APPROVED FOR HANDGUNS, RIFLES, MUZZLE LOADERS AND SHOTGUNS. (SEE 25 & 50 YARD BERM AND FALLING PLATE RESTRICTIONS).

  3. THE 25 & 50 YARD BERMS ARE APPROVED FOR ALL HANDGUNS, RIFLES*, SHOTGUNS AND MUZZLE LOADERS. *.50 CALIBER BMG TYPE BIG BORE RIFLE CARTRIDGES ARE PROHIBITED ON THIS RANGE.

  4. THE STEEL FALLING PLATE MACHINE IS APPROVED FOR THE FOLLOWING AMMUNITION TYPES: ALL STANDARD HANDGUN CALIBERS THROUGH .357 MAG. (1500 FPS Max.). LARGER HANDGUN CALIBERS THROUGH .44 MAGNUM WITH LEAD OR PLATED LEAD BULLETS ONLY (BERRY’S, RAINIER, ETC., NO FULL MAGNUM LOADS) & RIFLES SHOOTING RIM FIRE ONLY. THE USE OF AIRGUNS IS PROHIBITED. DO NOT RELOCATE OR ADJUST THE FALLING PLATE MACHINE.

  5. 50 YARD STEEL TARGETS ARE APPROVED FOR ALL TYPICAL HANDGUNS/CALIBERS, SHOTGUNS (SLUGS), RIFLES USING HANDGUN CALIBERS, AR-15 TYPE RIFLES USING ESTABLISHED TYPICAL CALIBERS (5.56, .223, 300 BO, etc.). NOT PERMITTED: AR-10 TYPE RIFLES OR LARGER CALIBER RIFLES (22-250, .243, .308, 30-06, etc.) AND HANDGUNS USING RIFLE CALIBERS.

  6. THE USE OF ANY “STEEL CORE” AMMUNITION ON STEEL TARGETS IS PROHIBITED. CHECK AMMUNITION WITH THE MAGNET.

  7. PERSONAL STEEL TARGETS ARE NOT PERMITTED UNLESS APPROVED BY THE OUTDOOR RANGE COMMITTEE.

  8. ALL TARGETS ARE TO BE PLACED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF AND WITHIN THE BERM PROFILE USING PALLETS MOUNTED ON SUPPLIED STANDS. FREE STANDING TARGETS, PLASTIC REACTIVE TARGETS, BOWLING PINS OR CLAY TARGETS, MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON BERM MATERIAL NO MORE THAN 5’ ABOVE THE BASE. DO NOT PLACE TARGETS ON THE GROUND OR R/R TIES.

  9. YOU MAY ONLY SHOOT DIRECTLY AT THE BERMS FROM WITHIN THE RANGE ENCLOSURES (I.E. FIRING LINE). SHOOTING FROM IN FRONT OF THE ENCLOSURE IS ONLY PERMITTED DURING SPECIFIC SUPERVISED SPECIAL EVENTS SUCH AS FIELD DAYS, SECURITY TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS, POLICE OR GUARD TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS OR ORGANIZED COMPETITIONS WITH COMMTTEE APPROVAL. ALL OTHER SHOOTING MUST BE DONE FROM THE FIRING LINE

EVERETT SPEAR COMBAT RANGE RULES (Posted)

The following rules apply to the Everett Spear Combat Range and are in addition to the General Range Rules.

  1. ALL MEMBERS & GUESTS MUST SIGN IN AT THE MULTI - PURPOSE RANGE

  2. THIS RANGE IS APPROVED FOR ALL HANDGUN & RIFLE CALIBERS (NO 50BMG TYPE), MUZZLE LOADERS AND SHOTGUN GAGES.

  3. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE MADE SAFE (EMPTY, MAGAZINES REMOVED, ETC.) BEFORE GOING DOWN RANGE. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE OF THE CEASE FIRE REQUEST. AFTER RETURNING FROM DOWN RANGE ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE THE RANGE IS READY FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE.

  4. SHOOTERS MAY SHOOT FROM DISTANCES CLOSER THAN THE SHOOTING TABLE (10 YARD MIN. FOR STEEL TARGETS). DO NOT RELOCATE THE SHOOTING TABLE.

  5. ALL TARGETS ARE TO BE PLACED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF AND WITHIN THE BERM PROFILE USING PALLETS MOUNTED ON SUPPLIED STANDS. FREE STANDING TARGETS, PLASTIC REACTIVE TARGETS, BOWLING PINS OR CLAY TARGETS MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON BERM MATERIAL, NO MORE THAN 5’ ABOVE THE BASE. DO NOT PLACE TARGETS ON THE GROUND OR R/R TIES IN FRONT OF THE BERM.

  6. STEEL TARGETS ARE APPROVED FOR THE FOLLOWING AMMUNITION TYPES: ALL STANDARD HANDGUN CALIBERS THROUGH .357 MAGNUM (1500FPS Max).
