OUTDOOR RIFLE RANGES

100 YARD RANGE RULES (Posted)

The following rules apply to the 100 Yard Rifle Range and are in addition to the General Range Rules.

  1. THIS RANGE IS APPROVED FOR ALL BIG BORE RIFLES, MUZZLE LOADERS, SHOTGUNS (SLUGS) AND HANDGUNS.

  2. PLACE ORANGE FLAGS IN DISPLAY HOLDERS WHEN GOING DOWN RANGE TO DESIGNATE A “COLD RANGE”. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE OF THE CEASE FIRE CALL. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE EMPTY AND MADE SAFE (ACTIONS OPEN, MAGAZINES REMOVED, ETC.) FOR THE DURATION OF THE CEASE FIRE. REMOVE FLAGS FROM DISPLAY HOLDERS ONLY WHEN RANGE IS SAFE FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE.ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE THE RANGE IS READY FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE”.

  3. ALL TARGETS ARE TO BE PLACED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE BERM PROFILE USING PALLETS MOUNTED ON SUPPLIED STANDS. FREE STANDING TARGETS, PLASTIC REACTIVE TARGETS, BOWLING PINS OR CLAY TARGETS MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON THE BERM, NO MORE THAN 5’ ABOVE THE GROUND. DO NOT PLACE TARGETS ON THE GROUND.

  4. PERSONAL STEEL TARGETS ARE NOT PERMITTED UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE OUTDOOR RANGE COMMITTEE.

  5. MAX CALIBER ON STEEL PLATES: .300 WIN. MAG.

  6. THIS RANGE IS NOT APPROVED FOR RAPID FIRE

  7. 100 YARD STEEL TARGETS

    1. Personal Steel Targets are Not Allowed without approval of the Outdoor Range Committee.

    2. Allowed Calibers: All handgun calibers, shotguns (slugs) & muzzle loaders.
                                      Rifles = .300Win (Max)


    3. .50 Caliber BMG type calibers are Not Permited on steel plate targets.


    200/300 YARD RANGE RULES (Posted)

    The following rules apply to the 200/300 Yard Rifle Range and are in addition to the General Range Rules.

    1. THIS RANGE IS APPROVED FOR ALL BIG BORE RIFLE CALIBERS, MUZZLE LOADERS, SHOTGUNS (SLUGS) & HANDGUNS.

    2. .50BMG TYPE RIFLES ARE APPROVED FOR 300 YARDS ONLY AT NON-STEEL TARGETS.

    3. PLACE ORANGE FLAGS IN DISPLAY HOLDERS WHEN GOING DOWN RANGE TO DESIGNATE A “COLD RANGE”. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE OF THE CEASE FIRE CALL. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE EMPTY AND MADE SAFE (ACTIONS OPEN, MAGAZINES REMOVED, ETC.) FOR THE DURATION OF THE CEASE FIRE. REMOVE FLAGS FROM DISPLAY HOLDERS ONLY WHEN RANGE IS SAFE FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE. ENSURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE AWARE THE RANGE IS READY FOR SHOOTING TO COMMENCE.

    6. STEEL TARGET CALIBERS: 200 YARD STEEL = MAX CALIBER .338 MAG 300 YARD STEEL = MAX CALIBER .338 LAPUA

    7. THIS RANGE IS NOT APPROVED FOR RAPID FIRE.
