| 13 10:00 am-6:00 pm 05/13/23 https://grotonsportsmen.com/event/ns-v-pond-huck-finn-day/2023-05-13/ the HUCK FINN fishing outing will be on Saturday May 13th this year. As always there will be hot dogs and hamburgers on the grills as well as snacks and drinks for all. Fishing starts for the kids at 10:am and ends at noon so we can hand out trophies and prizes. First fish and largest fish caught will be awarded a trophy. Every child gets a GSC participation trophy and a ticket with which they can pick a prize out to take home! So come on out and enjoy the day fishing with the kids! Rain or sine the fish will be biting, we have a couple of tents to get under and of course the fishing hut is always open. The limit of trout each child ca n keep is 6 fish. This will open up some of the hotter fishing spots and give the little ones a chance to catch up. Remember, fishing age for HUCK FINN event is 1 day old to 12 years old, after 12 noon anyone can fish at the normal club creel limit of 3 trout a day and a maximum weekly creel possession of 6 trout.
